Ruthie (Liz's younger sister, one of four)
was very much her own person, though only a couple of yrs younger than Liz.. and Liz shared her friends with Ruth easily.
Ruthie was also a great laugher. She was a Junior Reject to our Rejects group.
There were sororities and frats at Wisewood where the cool kids joined.. we were never 'rushed' but we formed The Rejects in response and when sororities rushed with their posters promoting themselves we put up Rejects posters that said: Rejects: Acne. Obesity. Chastity. and then we laughed some more.

Liz was a great friend, patient, loving... funny. we would laugh so hard about really dumb jokes just sitting on our front stairs, we'd pee our pants. that's a tribute.... i still value laughing very highly! it's so good for the soul.
when we were in high school she found out she had lymphoma.. it was so shocking and scary. But Liz took it in stride valiantly and was an amazing person throughout the years she survived with the illness. Still loved to laugh. Put up an amazing fight. She was never bitter or angry... a mensch.

Heartbreaking to hear of your passing Phoebe. Didn't we have a wonderful time being on the edge of fashion and so much more. Cutting classes or being sent home because of our short skirts and pants, going to the Java Shop for cappuccino in the afternoons. We sat together for Physics 30 and I still remember you saying to me "I don't believe in electrons." I've thought about you often over the years. Sending you and your family love and healing. Pamme
